Lake Fontana


Lake Fontana is a large, deep lake bordered on the north by the Great Smokie Mountains National Park.


440 feet deep at the dam, with nearly 16 square miles of surface area, the lake is surrounded by mountains and forest with fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye, and musky. It is fed by both the Nantahala and Little Tennessee Rivers
